Policies and General Information
While our convention is mainly about fun, friendship and dolls, it is necessary to have some general policies in order to have a smooth event. These policies are intended to ensure fairness and equitable treatment of each attendee and reflect the group preferences gathered from past events. Please understand that every effort has been made to accommodate the majority of the group.
Cancellation Policy
Please do not register unless you are truly planning on attending the event. That said, life happens and we cannot foresee the future and sometimes plans change. A full refund of your registration fee will be issued if you cancel and your spot can be filled by someone on the waiting list. If your spot cannot be filled, a 50% refund will be issued if you cancel prior to 11:59 PM September 30, 2023. Cancellations after 12:00 AM (midnight) Pacific time October 1, 2023 (14 days prior to the event) will not be issued any refunds. The reason for this policy is that food guarantees must be placed with the hotel 14 days prior to our event. Thank you for your understanding.
No-Show Policy
If you are unable to attend the day of the event, you will be considered a no-show. No-shows are ineligible to receive refunds
of any sort. Goodie bags, prizes, gifts, and the convention doll will be forfeited.
Guest Policy
Guests, spouses, traveling companions, and significant others will find plenty to do in Las Vegas. Please do not register your non-collector guests as convention attendees due to limited space. However, your travel companions are welcome to pop in and pop out to take a peek at the convention displays and say hello.
Guests are welcome to attend the Friday night Welcome Party. Please indicate the number of guests when you register so that an accurate count can be made and assure enough food and drink for everyone.
Guests are welcome to join us for all three meals on Saturday. The cost for guest meals are as follows: breakfast $30.00; lunch $35.00; dinner $40.00. You will have an opportunity to register for guest meals on your registration form. Please note that there are many eateries in the hotel and on the Las Vegas Strip so if your travel companion is planning an excursion while you are at the convention, there are multiple options for meals. The same is true for activities. There is plenty for your guests to do for the day!
Wait List Policy
The convention is expected to sell out. A wait list will be compiled in the order in which registrations are received. If a cancellation occurs, the first person on the wait list will be offered the spot and given 72 hours to complete the registration process. If the first person declines, the second person on the wait list will be contacted, and so on.
Food and Special Dietary Requests Policy
Every effort will be made to accommodate special dietary requests. If you have strict dietary restrictions, please email Nancy Collins at [email protected]. Three meals will be served on convention day. The menus have been selected to represent a basic, healthy diet with balanced nutrition in mind and all will offer some vegetarian selections. All meals will be served buffet style.
You can expect the following menus (subject to change if the hotel revises their menus for some reason):
Friday night Welcome Party: Pasta Party
Saturday breakfast: Traditional full American breakfast
Saturday lunch: Make your own sandwich bar with all the trimmings
Saturday dinner: Mexican Fiesta
