Hello everyone,

As some of you may know Nancy Collins is intending to put in a bid to host the 2013 convention, this time in her new home town of Las Vegas, NV!

Nancy has run into difficulty in locating an appropriate hotel since our convention is much smaller than the typical Las Vegas convention and the fact that none of us want a $300 room rate. After much due diligence, she has found a hotel that is both willing and excited at the prospect of us holding our convention with them. It’s a very nice hotel and the negotiated room rates would be beyond awesome! The only glitch is that Nancy would have to commit in writing that we would hold our 2013 Dawn Doll Convention there this coming Monday (November 12th) when she meets with them to inspect the space and discuss the final details. We would be taking their last meeting space and they will not hold it without a form commitment.

Due to the very real possibility of losing this hotel unless we commit, I am requesting that anyone who has any thoughts whatsoever of submitting a proposal for 2013 come forward immediately, If I do not hear from anyone this weekend, I am going to give Nancy the go ahead and the RFP period will close a few days earlier than expected.
