Hi! I'm trying to find a firm to begin making this tiny fastener for us. I wonder, are any of you Dawn doll clothing creators interested in getting together to see whether it can be done?

I've been taking to U.S. firms as well as companies overseas. I'm at the stage where I'm getting quotes. But I thought I'd reach out to you ladies (& guys) at this point to make sure that there's sufficient interest.

If I can get a quote that doesn't put my hair on end, and can place an order for the making of several thousand pieces, receive them, and then mail them out to whoever on TT and other dolly sites wants them, just for the price of shipping ... would you be interested?

If anyone's interested, I must ask for donations. (Not yet.) For instance, if it costs us $300 to get several thousands of pieces made, I'm going to have to go round and take donations from everyone who wants to use the pieces, so that we can pay for them.

The alternative is that I get a jeweler's sand-casting kit and melt my own steel in the backyard. Sounds like a joke, but that IS an actual possibility, if it will work and save us money!

Hi, Kids! Well, I have a lot of bids for our job (some laughable). Yesterday I found a lot of small U.S. metal stamping companies owned by veterans and sent out RFQs to them. (Request for Quote.) Haven't heard back from one of them, but it's less than 24 hours so far. Also, I'm talking to a company I like in China.

When we get to the actual purchasing stage, I am going to need help. Will those of you interested in getting this project actually underway please give me some money? Not today, of course, not yet, but I'm really becoming hopeful of pulling this off within a few weeks. Maybe we can see how many interested persons we have, and then divvy up. Does that sound good? If only it were tax refund time, I'd have a couple hundred bucks to work with and be able to pull of most of this alone, but it ain't refund time yet, and I can't.

So, if you're excited at the idea of having as MANY of these S-hooks to use for your Topper fashions as you could ever need or want, will you join me in completing this caper? Thanks! We can sell extra S-hooks on ebay and hopefully repay everyone who paid in.
