Cleaning Petals 'N Pleats I've heard talk about some of Dawn's fashions that should not be washed in water. PammyJ sent me a Petals 'N Pleats that's in wonderful condition. (Thanks again, Pammy!) It just needs a little washing. Is this one of the fashions that should not be handwashed? If it can be handwashed, what's the safest thing to use on it? Can I use Woolite or OxyClean, or should I buy the stuff from Twin Pines?

Re: Cleaning Petals 'N Pleats I've hand washed lots of Dawn items, including this gown, and it turned out fine. If you want it to look brand new, find a dry cleaners who would be willing to clean it and it will look perfect.

Re: Cleaning Petals 'N Pleats Thanks, Lesley and Andrea. You've been a huge help. I'll check on the dry cleaners and if I can't find one that will clean pygmywear, I'll give it the lukewarm water and Woolite.

Re: Cleaning Petals 'N Pleats If you have Perk N Boost, it would be good too, otherwise just a bit of dishsoap and water.
All the Dawn fashions can be washed in water. And contrary to popular belief, dry cleaning is not dry, it contains water and chemicals I would not use them on Dawn clothes. Don't use bleach on Dawn clothes either, due to it's yellowing and aging properties. ~Melanie

Re: Cleaning Petals 'N Pleats I've never used home dry cleaning. I used a regular dry cleaners, and they charged me a small price to clean some Dawn clothes. They looked absolutely brand New when I got them back. I was very impressed. quote] pammyj1968 wrote: Would the home drycleaning system work?? Dryelle??

Re: Cleaning Petals 'N Pleats Andrea, do you remember which outfits you had cleaned? Or what type of fabric they were?
