Dolls
Some of the gals hanging out: H11A Dawn in Kelly top and knockoff pants, Kip in Longlocks dancing mini and knockoff lace pants, and K11 Gloris in a knockoff mini and leggings and a custom pantsuit.
A knockoff (who needs a reroot, or at least this fabulous hat! :) in a cute knockoff mini and boots, P10 Angies in custom jumpsuit and Patio Party, Gary in Fisher Price suede jacket and (Aaron Carter?) jeans, and Rockflower Heather in knockoff poncho and stretch pants.
I bought this P17 Longlocks with a blue-stained face and ratty hair, but Remove-Zit applied very carefully cleaned her up well, and a boil perm tamed her hair a bit.
Rockflower Iris's head transplanted to Macy's body (I thought she looked better in the outfit :).
Weather Girls
Left to right: Playline Macy in a knockoff fur coat, hat, purse (similar to Triki Miki's, but slightly smaller) and boots; Dancing Angie in knockoff coat (Tris?) and custom scarf; Anniversary Dale in knockoff coat and boots (Cindi Joy?) with custom mini; Holiday Dawn in "City Slicker"; Playline Shannon in "Chain 'er Up Again"; Anniversary Glori in "Town 'n' Tailored"; and Brunette Bridal Dawn in Tiny Teen knockoff top, skirt and boots.
A Casual Stroll
Left to right: Dancing Angie in Petite's "Star Studded" with Dawn's sneakers, Dawn in Topper Go-Gos' clothes, Dancing Kip in "Bell Bottom Bounce," Daphne in Dizzy Girl's "Lotsa Lime," and Glori in HTT Longlocks' jumpsuit.
Orange Juliets
Get it? Huh? Get it? ;)
A tribute to my favorite color! Left to right: Pippa's friend Tammie in an unknown outfit with Premier purse and shoes, Shannon in a knockoff, Pippa's friend Penny in the HTT jumpsuit, Anniversary Glori in a Sue B. custom, SPCH Glori in "Town 'n' Tailored," Glori in "Tangerama Tunic," and Daphne in a Starr gown.
Glori, Bright and Dark
My side part, curly hair Glori. I didn't notice 'til I'd had her a while that her left eyelashes are nearly gone. That and her rather one-sided hairdo make her right eye look always dark and hooded, while her left looks bright and clear.

There's something very moody about this gal!
|
Or maybe she just needs flash lighting... |
I think I've found my muse!
(Glori wears Sheer Delight and Head To Toe Longlocks' orange jumpsuit.)

Glori goes off to the office in Mego Dizzy Girl's "Lotsa Lime" pantsuit. (I love this outfit because it looks like what my grandmother wore all the time!) |
Longlocks
 |
| I never cared for Longlocks before... she looked too different from the other Dawns with her huge eyes, tiny mouth and extravagantly long hair (which gets in the way when she sits down!). This one turned out to be rather special, though, and I've grown very fond of her. She's a P17 head mold, which seems a bit prettier than the apparently more common H17. Her hair is parted off-center; not quite a side part, but a bit different from the norm. A few broken strands, but no chunks cut off... There were at least half a dozen wild flyaway strands, so I gave her a boiled water rinse, and now she has a nice, smooth, Crystal Gayle look! Her right eyelashes were scanty; I pulled them out a bit to even them with the left, but she could still use a few plugs. She came with several small scratches on her chin which made her look a bit like a Goateed Lady, so I tried "dermabrasion" with super-fine grade sandpaper, and the scratches are much less visible. (I wanted to give her a Kirk Douglas cleft, but it was beyond my abilities! :) I figure she just had a biking accident when she was younger... that explains the loose hips and weak knees, too, as well as a bump on one ankle. And last, but not least... she has nipples! |
Her long, straight hair has led me to think of her as a groovy hippie chick, so I look for more casual, funkier outfits to put her in. Funny how an offbeat doll can grow on you...
|
She reminds me of someone... Judy Collins, maybe? |
Daphne
Daphne (mold K11A) has a pensive look. Perhaps she's wondering who cut her hair...
Right: Daphne in Starr friend Amber's "Hollywood Glamour" dress.

Dale
 |
Dale looks great in almost anything. Then, too, I think almost any Dawn doll would look great in Gold-Go-Round!
This is Checkerboard's 30th Anniversary Dale, who's slightly cheaper than the originals! |
Kip
I don't know why I like this head (the H17 mold) so much with Kip's hair and brown eyes and so little with Longlocks's hair and blue eyes... go figure, huh? |
Dancing queens Kip and Angie in Checkerboard's new gowns: "Dazzling Diva" and "Silver Belle." |
Herself!
A beautifully painted S11A head with tons of silky hair that looks just a bit unkempt (and another doll with nipples, but a split on her right side)... On the left, Dawn dresses down in Topper Go-Gos clothing: shirt from Tom Boy and pink Capri pants from Slick Chick. On the right, Checkerboard's new fashion "In Skin."
Home.
