Dawn's September Vacation Stories

Dawn arrives at Melanie's in British Columbia!
Customs Inspector Guido has discovered a gun in Dawn's carry-on luggage. Time for a pat-down! Dawn tried to bribe him with money but he took it and decided to check her out anyway.

Dawn is greeted by Princess Guinevere, Princess Pippa and Princess Euro at Melanie's apartment.

Dawn gets spiffed up at the beauty salon and picks out a lovely crocheted gown in gold and mauve. While waiting she chats with Angie-Angie.

Dawn poses in front of the stuffed animal pyramid.

Dawn poses on a chair on Melanie's balcony. View of the Fraser River in the distance.
Dawn also visits the Royal New Westminster Regiment building and poses atop the cannon.
The following weekend Dawn accompanies me, my brother and sister-in-law Kathy on a trip to Penticton. Along the way we stop for breakfast in Hope, BC. (Dawn is not pictured, she was trying to
find her shoes at the time.)

We take the Coquihalla highway since a forest fire blocks the road between Hope and Princeton. The air conditioning conks out so we stop for a break in Merritt. Here is Dawn featured against the desert hills of Merritt.

A few days later Dawn takes the ferry to Vancouver Island and visits the colourful Chemainus. Here she is in front of the community theatre.

Dawn accompanies me to Vancouver since I have an appointment. She waits for me at the Library.

Dawn & I meet up with Denise E. from Washingston State. We have dinner and drinks at Cactus Club Cafe in Burnaby, BC.
A map of lower BC so everyone can see where Dawn visited.
The next day she's on her way to Alberta to visit Denise.

Dawn can't wait to visit her buddy Denise's igloo in Alberta!

Heading across the Atlantic to Carol's in London, England!

This is a picture that came with an email from dawn at Judy B.'s in Surrey, England!
"Hi Robin!
I've arrived at Judy's house in the heart of the English countryside- so pretty- it reminds me of New England in the Fall but here its called Autumn and it rains more! Pippa and her friends have made me feel right at home and lent me lots of clothes for the week- I can't help thinking they could use a bit more glitter though! We had a wild party my first night with lots of Pimms (Pippa says its very English to drink Pimms and pretend that the sun is shining)
Today we went riding- I borrowed a Tally Ho outfit from Pippa and Emma lent me her horse. I was a bit wobbly at first but soon got the hang of it, but that riding hat played havoc with my hair! I think I'll stick to shopping in future!
This country life is wearing me out-On to Julieannes in Manchester next, bright lights big city!
