Dolls

After searching all over the internet for information on these little dolls, and finding very little, I decided to put together a web site of my own with links to everything I could find. I hope it will be helpful to you:

At the American International Toy Fair of 2002, Jakks Pacific Inc. (JPI) introduced a new line of 11" dolls called Freshlook Friends along with a small version of 6 1/2" dolls called Glam on the Go that were very similar to the Starr dolls of the 1990s. At the Toy Fair of 2003, JPI repackaged them as Freshlook Friends Petites. Six of them were sold in the U.K. early in 2003, with plans for more dolls and fashions to be sold in the U.S. later in the fall. Early in 2004, a few more dolls and fashions finally appeared in the U.S.

Unfortunately, Jakks Pacific Inc. had very little information about them on their web site, and I received an email that they have already been discontinued. :( They call them "Fresh Look Friends," while the tag attached to the dolls reads "Freshlook Friends." (That might be why they are so difficult to search for on line.) Sounds like they didn't take a very big interest in them. Too bad. They are really cute dolls.

My mother hit the jackpot at a Meijer's store in Kentucky, and bought one of each doll for me. When we learned that they were discontinued, she went back and cleaned them all out! I've uploaded photos of each to help identify the different dolls and outfits that are available. If you see any others that I've missed, please send me a photo and buy one for me! :)

Have fun looking around!            ~DeannaD
