We will always be thankful to Checkerboard Toys for opening up their doors and reintroducing Dawn to collectors and little girls everywhere. After 30 years without seeing Dawn on toy store shelves, she was there again and ready to be enjoyed by the next generation. It was all too short-lived for those of us who love Dawn, and after just a few years, Dawn was again out of production. But during those years, dozens of new Dawn items were created, and many collectors began adding them to their vintage collections.
