"The original Dawn and Her World" Special Order Convention Dolls by Checkerboard Toys

A few dolls were redesigned exclusively for Dawn Doll Conventions with a very limited run of about 35-50 produced. They were sponsored by people attending the convention, and were a variation based on an existing Checkerboard doll. 2001 "Platinum Dawn" Dawn in Chicago Convention 2002 Brunette Holiday Trimming Doll Dawn in Las Vegas Convention 2003 Jewel of the Gold Rush California Gold Rush Dawn Convention 2004 China Dragon Dawn Dawn in San Francisco Convention Although these last two convention dolls are made from Checkerboard dolls, the clothing was created by Janet's Dolls and the dolls repackaged by the convention attendees. They are not officially affiliated with Checkerboard Toys, but are included here for information only.
