Sometime during 2002, in response to Dawn collectors clamoring for more shoes for their dolls,
Checkerboard manufacturered a large batch of extra shoes and accessories
and made them available in wholesale quantities to doll sellers. There was no commercial packaging,
so each seller had to separate them by hand into zip lock bags and ship them out to their customers.
